Description
Springfield is a house built in the mid-19th century, featuring a restrained Italianate style. Constructed from ashlar stone, it has a graduated grey slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a symmetrical front that has five bays. The centre bay is recessed and includes a doorway framed by a Doric entablature supported by half-columns. The windows are adorned with architraves and have bracketed cills, with those on the ground floor also featuring cornices. There are cill and first-floor strings, as well as an eaves cornice. The house has corniced end stacks, two on each side.
