Description
The former Baptist chapel, dated 1863, is a Romanesque-style building located on Albert Street in Keighley. It is constructed of rusticated stone with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. The chapel is two storeys high, with an attic and basement, and is divided into three bays. The central bay projects forward, is taller, and has a gabled roof. It contains four grouped round-headed windows on each floor, along with a large round window with plate tracery on the first floor. The gable features stepped arcading, a machicolated eaves course, coping, and an iron finial. The lower side bays have round-arched entrances with the date above, paired round-arched windows on the first floor, and moulded gutter brackets. The basement windows are segment-headed.
