Description
This building is a police station located on North Street in Keighley, dating from the late 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar and features a restrained Italianate style. The building is two storeys high and consists of four by three bays. It has a plinth, and the ground floor is rusticated, with heavier rustication at the corners and around the round-arched openings. The windows have glazing bars and are framed with quoined surrounds and an impost string. There is a door set in a recessed bay on the left side. The bold cornice adds to the architectural detail. On the first floor, the building has angle quoins, a cill string, and eared architraves with cornices above the windows. The eaves cornice is dentilled, and there is a stone stack located at the rear.
