Description

This is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse, originally with a long, single-room plan, and a former barn that has been converted into a house. It was altered around 1800. The farmhouse is constructed of gritstone and sandstone, and parts of number 16 are taller and rendered. It has stone slate roofs and corniced chimneys. The windows are irregularly spaced, with two-light square mullioned casements set in square surrounds; some mullions have been removed. Doorways have squared jambs. An outshut adjoins number 16 and features a two-light chamfered mullion window. The rear of number 16A has two two-light square mullion windows.
