Description

Hanging Stone, located in Oakworth Moor, is likely a boundary marker from the 19th century. It is made of large millstone grit and leans at an angle of approximately 45 degrees. The top features a carved, projecting cross, and one side is inscribed with the words 'Hanging stone or Water Sheddles Cross'.
