Description

The cross built into the wall opposite Well Croft is made of millstone grit and stands approximately 75 centimeters high by 60 centimeters wide. Its date is uncertain, and it is roughly carved with no identifying inscriptions or marks on the front. However, there is a recess carved into the back where it is built into the wall. It is possibly a boundary marker or plaque stone.
