Description
Herders Inn is a public house dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof, featuring stone coping, moulded kneelers, and gutter corbels. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade. There are two three-light windows with stepped heads and square mullions, along with a semicircular arch-headed window above the door. A modern gabled porch has been added, and there are lean-to extensions on both sides that are of little interest. It is said that there were originally two Herders cottages on this site. The current building became an inn in 1860 and was formerly a Herder's house.
