Description
Pierson's Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered over time. It is constructed from coursed dressed stone with quoins and a plinth, topped with a stone slate roof that features stone coping, kneelers, and gutter corbels. The building has a two-cell plan and stands two storeys high.
The façade includes a canted two-storey porch with an ogee moulded door. Above the porch, there is a six-light stone mullion bay window. To the left of the porch, there are one three-light and one two-light window on each storey, along with a small fireplace window on the ground floor. A continuous dripmould runs between the two floors. The rear of the farmhouse features four mullion windows with configurations of eight lights, six lights, and nine lights.
Inside, the farmhouse contains an ingle-nook fireplace with a segmental arch and a beehive oven, along with a stone moulded doorway and beams supported on stone corbels. The exterior also showcases a massive chimney on the front slope and two ridge stacks.
