EAST WITTON OUT PARISH TRANMIRE Tranmire Stone

Boundary stone. C18. Millstone grit. Stone approximately one metre high, set into wall immediately outside south angle of Tranmire Bog field. Dressed square with pyramidal top, set diagonally. North-west face inscribed 'East Witton'; south-west face carved with a hand pointing right; sout-east face inscribed 'Masham-shire'; north-east face carved with a hand pointing right.
