Description
This is a farmhouse and attached barn located on The Slack in Stanbury, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The house is constructed of rubble brought to course, with the upper part made of coursed stone, and features stone slate roofs. It has quoins and is two storeys high, with two first-floor windows. The entrance is on the left, featuring a gabled porch with a plain stone surround. The flat-faced mullion windows on the ground floor originally had three and four lights but now have two, while the first floor has four lights. A central corniced stack is present. The barn, which is lower than the house, is located on the left and has a small central doorway with a triangular canopy and a square opening above. There are round-arched vents, and to the left, there is a shaped kneeler and coping.
