Description

This is a terrace of approximately 1800-1830, originally built as housing for mill workers. It is located on Crag Hill Road in Thackley. The terrace comprises numbers 11 to 39 (odd numbers). The buildings are two and three storeys high, with rear cottage wings projecting from the main block. They are constructed of fairly large sandstone "bricks" and have stone slate roofs with corniced chimneys. The windows are square, with mullion framing. The doorways are plain. Number 25 has a prominent gabled front, flanked by two-storey sections with archways leading to rear cottage rows.
