Description
Birk Hill Farmhouse and its integral barn date from the latter part of the 18th century. This two-storey farmhouse is constructed of sandstone that resembles brick. It features a gable end roof covered with stone slates, complete with saddlestones and rear kneelers. The south front has three windows: two light square mullion windows on either side of a central single light window on the first floor. The ground floor includes a plain doorway and a former six-light window that has been reduced to three lights with square mullions. On the west side, the roof extends down from the hip to cover the single-storey barn.
