Description

This barn, located to the south-east of Raikes Hall Farmhouse on the opposite side of the road, dates from around 1800 and is likely a rebuild of an earlier structure, with new footings. It is a compact and well-proportioned building made of sandstone "brick" with flush quoins and features a stone slate roof. At the first floor level, there are two plain window openings with squared surrounds that flank a segmental voussoir archway.
