Description

Ryecroft Farm is a farmhouse dating from around 1700, associated with Ryecroft Hall. It is two storeys high and built on a rectangular plan using coursed gritstone. The building features irregular quoins and a stone slate roof without kneelers, topped with corniced chimneys. The entrance front has two windows on each floor: the first floor has a four-light window and a five-light window, flanked by a single light window; the ground floor has a six-light window and a five-light window, both with chamfered mullions. The doorway is chamfered with a rusticated block surround, a cambered head, and a massive lintel. Inside, the farmhouse retains chamfered main ceiling beams.
