Description
This milestone, located opposite the junction with New Park Road in Queensbury, is likely from the early to mid-19th century and features re-cut inscriptions. It is made of stone and has a triangular shape with a domed top. The inscriptions on two faces are set in sunken panels and read: "TO BRIGHOUSE 6 MILES" and "TO DENHOLME GATE 2 MILES." The original inscriptions may have been damaged during the Second World War from 1940 to 1945.
