Description
No. 27 Chapel Street is a minister's house, now a private residence, dating from around 1820. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and a three-bay symmetrical facade. The central doorway has panelled jambs and a lintel, along with an enriched frieze and a moulded canopy supported by console brackets. Above the doorway, there is a single light window on the first floor. On both floors, there are wide two-light windows to the left and right, with the centre mullion removed. The house also has dentil brackets and gable copings on cut kneelers, as well as two tall rendered stacks. This property is included for its group value with the nearby Baptist Church.
