Description
This is a circa 1820 row of thirteen cottages, numbered 1-13, situated on Back Field in Thornton. The cottages are stepped up the hillside and built of sandstone, which has the appearance of brick. They have stone slate roofs and spaced dentil brackets to the eaves. The windows are flush framed, with two-light and single-light square mullion designs. The doorways are plain. A modern bow window has been added to the ground floor of number 13.
