Description
Number 220 is a late 18th century farmhouse with an adjoining barn to the right, which has been altered at one time to serve as two tenements. The building is two storeys high and constructed from sandstone brick, topped with a stone slate roof featuring saddlestones and kneelers, and a central ridge chimney stack. The barn on the right projects from the house and has a stone slate roof that extends down to ground floor level. It features a tall gabled central portal with a triangular dovecote positioned above the archway. The house includes 19th century sash windows and two-light square mullion windows. The barn portal is flanked by narrow round-headed openings, and the interior has partly arched features.
