Description

Cow Close Cottages, formerly known as Nos 1 and 2 (Cow Close), is a former farmhouse that likely dates from the latter part of the 17th century. The building is two storeys high and constructed from irregularly coursed gritstone, topped with a stone slate roof. On the first floor, there are two four-light windows, while the ground floor features two five-light windows, all equipped with drip moulds, chamfered mullions, and splayed reveals. The entrance includes a chamfered doorway that is topped with a massive pediment-shaped lintel.
