Description

Westfield United Reform Church was built in 1824 as the Westfield Independent Chapel. It has a rectangular plan and features a pediment gabled front. The building is constructed of sandstone "brick" and topped with a stone slate roof. The front facade consists of three bays, with plain squared surround windows. There are two doorways at ground floor level, each with squared jambs and cornice hoods supported by console brackets. Below the central first floor window, there is a corniced plaque on small consoles that displays a crisply carved inscription and the date in Roman numerals.
