Description

This is a barn dated 1802, located on the west side of Number 2 Simon Fold. It is constructed from irregularly coursed sandstone "brick" and features a stone slate roof. The barn has ventilation slits and a segmental ashlar voussoir archway at the center of the east front. Above the archway is a date stone displaying the initials C over W M. The barn forms the western boundary of the fold yard and completes the view between Nos 84-86 and 88-90 Town Gate.
