Description
This is a two-storey, three-bay house dated 1675, located on the east side of Town Gate in Wyke. The house is constructed of coursed gritstone with a stone slate roof, featuring saddlestones and shaped kneelers. The south gable end has a weathered string course at the doorhead level and a small, round-headed attic light with a squared surround. A six-light chamfered mullion window with a drip mould is located on the first floor. The ground floor window has been altered. The doorway is chamfered and has a lintel inscribed "W.O.P. 1675." The string course is returned to the east front, where there is a four-light chamfered mullion window. The north gable is similar to the south, though some mullions have been removed. Lean-to extensions are visible on the roadside.
