Includes Nos 1 to 19 (odd) Union Road, Nos 2 to 22 (even) and to 19 (odd) Vine Street, Nos 2 to 20 (even and 1 to 19 (odd) Falcon Street, Nos 2 to 20 (even) and Nos 1 to 17 (odd) Hart Street and Nos 2 to 18 (even) Lime Street. A sequence of short streets of millworkers housing associated with the rebuilding of Cannon Mill, circa 1850. The terminal units to Great Horton Road, Nos 516 to 532 (even), incorporate contemporary shops, provided for the millworkers. The streets consist of stepped rows of single bay housing all built of sandstone "brick" with stone slate roofs, extending down from Great Horton Road to the mill. Ashlar lintels to sash windows. Cornices on plain consoles to doorways. Nos 516 to 532 have hipped roofs and plain 2 light pilaster framed shop fronts. Included for industrial and group interest as an intact complex of workers housing associated with mill.
