Description
This is a 17th century, or possibly earlier, house and adjoining barn, located on Myers Lane in Bolton Outlanes. The house is constructed of sandstone "brick" with a stone slate roof. It was altered in the early 19th century with a rendered gabled front, but it retains flush quoins. The house features 19th century sash windows and casements. The rear gable of the house retains two-light square mullion windows.
The barn has a four-light square mullion window, with a very splayed reveal suggesting a 17th-century origin. Originally an open-aisled barn, it has king post roof trusses, largely rebuilt in the 18th century. The main doorway features flush quoins.
