Description

Ivy Hall is an early 17th-century modest-sized hall with a modern extension, located on Idle Road in Bolton Outlanes. The building is two stories high and constructed from irregularly coursed gritstone and sandstone bricks, topped with a stone slate roof. Number 369, which was originally a barn and outbuilding, features a slightly lower roof. The structure includes saddlestones with kneelers and 2 and 3-light chamfered mullion windows with drip moulds. The south front has late 18th-century or early 19th-century square mullion windows. A date stone from 1616 has been reset in the modern extension. An external chimney is stepped out at an angle from the east gable end.
