Description
Lambspring Farmhouse and its integral barn date from the early to mid 18th century. The barn projects forward to the south as an outshut. The fenestration and doorway have been altered, likely around 1800. The building is two storeys high, constructed from coursed gritstone "bricks" with large gritstone quoins. It features a stone slate roof with saddlestones and a shaped kneeler. The south front of the farmhouse has three bays, with tripartite square mullion windows and a small blind squared surround window above a central squared jamb doorway. The barn includes a recessed quoined portal with a timber lintel and internal side doors. Modern single light windows have been inserted into the south front, and half of the rear elevation of the farmhouse projects as an outshut.
