7, Burnett Street

No 7 Burnett Street is a three-storey warehouse with a semi-basement, built around 1865. It is located next to the corner block of No 17 Peckover Street. The building features sandstone ashlar above a basement with vermiculated rustication. It has sill bands, a bed mould to the frieze, and a projecting eaves cornice. The upper floors have seven plain windows. The ground floor and basement are flanked by an office entrance on the left and a warehouse archway on the right. The office portal extends to the full height of the ground floor and showcases large classical details, including Corinthian columns in antis that support an entablature doorhead. The fanlight above is decorated with a disc pattern, and large carved consoles with dosserets support a heavy segmental pediment. The warehouse entrance features a semi-circular arch with large, alternately projecting voussoirs and large double panelled doors.
