Description
Elm Tree Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date from the 17th century, with some alterations from the late 18th century. The buildings are two-storeys high and constructed from gritstone and sandstone, laid in a roughly coursed manner. They feature gable end roofs covered with stone slates, with the roof over No 395 being lower than that of No 393. No 393 has two-light square mullion windows, which were originally three and four lights. No 395 includes a four-light chamfered mullion window with drip moulds, as well as a two-light chamfered mullion window on the gable end. The plain early 19th-century stone "brick" barn is attached to No 393.
