Description
The Dog and Gun Public House is a late 18th-century building located on Harrogate Road in Greengates/Apperley. It features a three-storey front made of irregularly coursed sandstone, with the right-hand section projecting forward. The building has three three-light squared frame windows with square mullions. The ground floor has been altered and has a roughcast finish typical of public house fronts. Below the eaves, there is a blind round-headed window on the return of the break to the main block. The roof is made of stone slate and includes kneelers at the rear. The north gable end also has blind round-headed windows, while the lower west elevation features four and six-light square mullion windows.
