Description
This is a detached ruin located 50 meters east of Manor House. It dates from the late 18th century and may incorporate elements of an earlier building, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is built of coursed squared stone and features fragments of five crucks. It is roofless and has a rectangular plan, with remaining walls reaching up to 2 meters high. On the south side, there is a four-centred arched doorway. The site is enclosed by mid-20th century railing. Initially thought to be from the 16th century, recent archaeological findings indicate that it was constructed in the late 18th century, using materials from the nearby Manor Lodge, which was abandoned in 1706.
