Description

This is a railway boundary mark located 20 meters west of the west portal to the Bridgehouses Railway Tunnel in Sheffield, dating from around 1847. It was erected by the Midland Railway Company and is made of dressed stone. The mark features a short square column that stands approximately 450 millimeters high, with the initials "M R" displayed on a chamfered base.
