Description

Borough Bridge is a road bridge that spans the River Don, built in 1856. It is constructed of ashlar and features three segmental arches with heavily rusticated voussoirs and keystones, along with pointed cutwaters. The bridge has a dentilled string course and a rock-faced parapet wall topped with a moulded edge. There are also panelled pedestals with chamfered tops. This bridge is part of the same development as Corporation Street.
