Description
This is a sewer gas lamp located at the junction with Frog Walk in Sheffield. It dates from the late 19th century and was made by the Webb Lamp Company. The lamp is constructed from cast iron and is painted blue. It features a conical shape with a domed cap, supported by curved brackets at the top of a fluted round column that has a bulged foot and ladder rests. The lamp stands on a round pedestal with a plinth, and each side of the pedestal has a moulded panel displaying the maker's name. At the time of the survey, the lamp was complete and in working order.
