Description
61-67 Clarkehouse Road is a group of four houses, now converted into flats, dating from around 1850 and restored in 1989. The buildings are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature hipped slate roofs, with four side wall stacks and a single party wall stack. They have a plinth, quoins, a first-floor band, an eaves band, and deep modillion eaves. The structure is two storeys tall plus a basement, with a six-window range of 12-pane sash windows that have moulded surrounds and corbelled sills. There are two paired doorcases with pilasters and cornices, leading to beaded four-panel doors with geometrical overlights. Small basement areas are present, enclosed with railings. To the right, there is a 19th-century two-storey addition. The interior has not been inspected.
