Description

Numbers 2 and 3 are two houses, now converted into flats, built around 1850 and restored in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed of brick, with rendered gables, stone dressings, and slate roofs. They feature four gable and one ridge stack. The design includes a plinth, a sill band on the first floor, a moulded wooden gutter and eaves with wooden brackets. The houses have a double-range plan and a six-window range facade. The windows are 12-pane sashes with multi-keystone lintels, and the ground floor windows have aprons. The ground floor has two windows in the centre, flanked by single pilastered doorcases with cornices, and margin-glazed doors with geometrical overlights. The interior of the buildings was not inspected. The front is defined by a low brick boundary wall with rounded stone coping; the wall on the left side is topped with a low wrought-iron railing.
