Description

NUMBER 10 TO 16 AND ATTACHED BOUNDARY WALL are a group of seven houses built around 1850, and restored in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings and have slate roofs, featuring nine gable and three ridge stacks. They have a plinth, a sillband to the first floor, a moulded wooden gutter and eaves supported by wooden brackets. The houses are two storeys high, with a continuous 21-window front. The windows are 12-pane sashes with multi-keystone lintels, and the ground floor windows have aprons. The house to the left has a central doorway with a pilastered surround, a cornice, and a margin-glazed door with a geometrical overlight. To the right are six identical houses arranged in pairs. The interior has not been inspected. An attached low brick boundary wall runs along the front, with rounded stone coping and seven cast-iron gates, one of which is a replica.
