Description

The pavilion and lodge at the east entrance to Endcliffe Park, dated 1891, is built in red brick with ashlar dressings and features gabled and hipped plain tile roofs, along with single ridge and rear wall stacks. Designed in the Arts and Crafts style, the pavilion has a steeply pitched hipped roof adorned with two gabled dormers that contain glazing bar windows. At the top, there is a square wooden bell turret with a square lead dome and a weather vane. Below the roof, a full-width hipped verandah is supported by turned wooden posts set on stone pedestals and features five Tudor arched openings. Under the verandah, there is a central half-glazed double door with a margin glazed overlight, flanked by stone mullioned three-light cross casements with glazing bar upper lights. The right return of the building includes a projecting coped gable with a similar window. The interior has not been inspected.
