Description
This is a former lodge house, originally part of Endcliffe Hall (listed separately). It was likely constructed around 1870, with alterations made in the mid and late 20th century. The building is built of ashlar stone with ashlar dressings, featuring hipped slate roofs. A prominent ridge stack has rusticated quoins and a bracketed cornice. It is distinguished by a plinth, moulded cornice, and a coped balustrade with ball finials on pedestals. The lodge is single-storied and has a single-window front. A central projection on the driveway-facing side is largely covered by a sympathetic addition from the late 20th century. The left return angle has a single tilting casement window, with a similar window to the left. The street-facing front has a tripartite plain sash window with a bracketed sill, flanked by blank panels. The interior was not inspected.
