Description
The boundary wall and gates at the George Woofindin Almshouses were built in 1899 and funded by George Woofindin. The structure features coursed squared stone and red brick with ashlar dressings. It consists of a low wall with chamfered coping, with most of its length along Ecclesall Road topped by a wrought-iron railing. On the left side, there are a pair of square brick gate piers with moulded square ashlar caps and a pair of wrought-iron gates. At the far right end, there is a small wrought-iron gate. The wall has a rounded corner and continues along Brocco Bank, measuring approximately 220 meters in length.
