Description
The statue of Queen Victoria is a memorial located at the south-east end of Endcliffe Park in Sheffield. It was created in 1904 by Alfred Turner and was moved to its current location in the mid-20th century. The statue features an over life-size standing bronze figure of Queen Victoria. It is mounted on a square pedestal made of rusticated Portland stone, which has concave sides, a cornice, and a small relief panel. Flanking the statue are two seated life-size bronze figures representing Industry and Motherhood. The base of the statue is shaped with a cornice and plinth, and it is set on a stepped foundation.
