Description
The war memorial and enclosing wall, located 100 meters west of Christ Church, were constructed around 1920. The memorial features a life-size sandstone figure of a soldier holding a rifle, set on a tapered square ashlar pedestal that includes inscriptions, a plinth, and a moulded cornice. The base consists of two steps. Surrounding the memorial is a segmental curved enclosing wall made of rock-faced stone, topped with gabled coping and square end piers that have pyramidal caps.
