Description
The boundary wall and gates at Intake Cemetery were built in 1879 by Innocent & Brown for the Gleadless Burial Board. The wall is constructed from rock-faced stone and features intermediate piers with chamfered ashlar coping, which is topped with a wrought-iron railing. There is an off-centre pair of square gate piers that have mansard caps and finials, along with a pair of wrought-iron gates. To the left, there is a small gateway without piers. The wall is approximately 120 meters long and is included for its group value.
