Description
Rose Cottage (Number 45) and Croft Farmhouse (Number 47) are two houses with an adjoining boundary wall, built in the mid and late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid and late 20th century. The buildings are constructed from coursed squared stone, featuring rendered and roughcast gables, and have a concrete pantile roof with a single ridge and two rendered gable stacks. The structures display quoins and stone lintels above the ground floor openings. They are two storeys high and have a three-window range of late 20th century plastic framed casements on the upper floor, with three similar windows below. Between the left pair of windows, there is a blocked doorway with a stone surround, and between the right pair, there is a 20th century board door. The left gable includes a lean-to porch and irregular 20th century fenestration. The adjoining boundary wall is also made of coursed squared stone, featuring triangular coping and a central blocked gateway with gabled piers.
