Description
Hesley Hall is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century, with 19th-century wings. It is constructed of thinly coursed sandstone and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features five bays, with two parallel wings that are adjoined and set at right angles to the rear.
The facade includes a plinth and projecting quoins. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door framed by an architrave, which has a weathered keyblock, consoles, and a broken segmental pediment, although the left part of the pediment is missing. The windows are tall 19th and 20th-century glazing bar sashes in all bays, with plain ashlar surrounds. A band runs along the first floor, and timber balks support tie-rods above the doorway and to the right. The building is capped with shouldered ashlar end stacks that have moulded strings and cornices.
