Description
Garden House is a late 18th-century house built for the Sandbeck estate. It is constructed of red brick in English Garden Wall bond and has a sheet asbestos roof. The building stands two storeys high and features three windows on the first floor, along with a continuous two-storey rear outshut. The front has a 20th-century brick porch, which is flanked by 16-pane sash windows that have projecting stone sills and cambered arches with keystones. The first-floor windows are similar in style. The house also has shaped stone kneelers and gable copings, with brick stacks at the ends. The left side of the building incorporates stone walling from an earlier structure.
