Description
This farm building, located approximately 10 metres west of Knabb's Hall along the north side of the farmyard, dates from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The building likely consists of two internal bays. The plain front has a low later addition that is not of special interest. The main architectural features are found on the right gable, which includes three symmetrically-placed animal doorways with quoined, chamfered surrounds, all of which are blocked or partially blocked, along with a fourth later door that is also part-blocked. At a high level in the apex, there are symmetrically-arranged round-arched ventilation holes cut from single pieces of stone. The gable has chamfered copings on moulded kneelers. There is a continuous outshut at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
