Detached house. Dated 1628, the hall range and left wing appear to be totally C19 in keeping. C20 restoration. Thinly coursed squared rubble with quoins. Stone slate roof. Lower, hall range with 2-bay gabled crosswings giving an H-plan. Two storeys, attic to right wing. Double-chamfered windows with hoodmoulds. The lower, hall range has a central doorway with a 2-light window to each side and a 3-light first-floor window. The left wing has 2-light windows. The right wing has a 3-light and a 2-light window to ground and first floors with common hoodmoulds, and a 2-light window to attic. Hollow-chamfered gable-copings on moulded kneelers. Paired stone brackets to hall and left wing. Ashlar stacks to left wing and each end of hall range, all with string courses and moulded cornices. Rear: Mainly restored. The C17 wing has altered or enlarged windows: tripartite to ground floor and 2-light to first floor, both with decorative hoodmould stops. 2-light window to gable apex. The windows of the hall range are C20 and square-cut. The doorway (presumably reset) has moulded surround and an arched panel above with raised letters reading:

1628 VR NR.

The C19 wing has a plain gable end. The right return has a 3- and a 4-light window to ground floor with common hoodmould, and an altered first-floor window. The left return has windows of 2, 3 and 4 lights.

Interior: Flat-baluster stair at front of right wing. Square-headed moulded fireplace in sane room.
