WORSBROUGH ROCKLEY LANE (east side, off) No 1, Rockley Old Hall and adjoining garage (formerly listed as Old Cartshed to north of Rockley Old Hall and Old cowshed adjoining the old cartshed on the west (Rockley Old Hall))

Cowhouse with attached cartshed now 1 dwelling and garage. Early C18, c1980 conversion. Rubble sandstone, stone slate roofs. House on left: 2 storeys, 3 bays with addition on left (not of special interest); single-storey 4-bay cartshed on right. House: large quoins. 3 quoined doorways, central one with part-glazed door , outer ones now casements. 1st floor: 2 quoined and rebated surrounds now with casements, central narrow casement. Shaped kneelers, square-cut gable copings, wallstone end stack on left with tabling. Cartshed: open-fronted; square ashlar piers with plinths and abaci. Interior of cartshed: old principal- rafter trusses and re-used roof timbers. Forms link to adjoining barn now Nos 2 and 2a, Rockley Old Hall (q.v.). Included for group value.
