Description
Fulford House is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations. It features early 19th-century bays at the front and a later 19th-century bow-fronted wing on the right. The building is constructed of pinkish brown brick, with a reddish-brown brick facade and ashlar dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has two full-height canted bays. The entrance is located on the left side, featuring a six-panel door beneath a hood supported by wrought-iron scrolled brackets.
The front of the house has an ashlar plinth and continuous sill bands for the ground and first floor windows, as well as a band at the first floor. The ground and first floors have 12-pane sash windows, while the second floor features 6-pane sashes. All windows are set under flat arches made of gauged brick, with some windows having 20th-century shutters. A double-dentil cornice runs along the top, and the hipped roof has separately roofed canted bays, with ridge stacks. Additionally, there is a mid to late 19th-century wrought-iron trellis veranda on the left side.
