Description
Delwood Croft is a house located in Fulford, North Yorkshire, dating from the late 18th century with extensive remodeling in the 19th century. The exterior is colourwashed and rendered, featuring pinkish-brown and yellow brick stacks and a Welsh slate roof. The garden front has three storeys and three bays, with the outer two bays canted and an additional two-storey, single canted bay on the left. The entrance is located on the side, beneath a Doric portico that includes a frieze and dentil cornice. The entrance features a six-panel door with jamb lights and a fanlight above with radial glazing bars. The original central entrance, which had a plain doorcase with a frieze and hood, is now a two-pane sash. The windows throughout include two, four, and unequally-hung fifteen-pane sashes, with those in the left bay set under fluted wedge lintels with keystones. There is a first-floor sill band and a second-floor sill band on the right three bays, along with a cogged eaves band and a hipped roof. The house has concealed and side stacks. Inside, there is an open well staircase with turned balusters, and most windows have shutters, although the interior has not been fully inspected.
